There are places in Tamosa that have become so closely associated with a particular activity that their names have long since escaped the boundaries of the map. Veraluz means theatres, music halls and the grand spectacle of the stage; Lunamarive means music, records and the sounds that have travelled from Tamosa to the rest of the world; Havenai means ships, aircraft, cargo and the immense machinery of movement that makes Tamosa one of the great crossroads of the Atlantic. Located southwest of downtown Figuayre Daphoy and downtown Maravela on the southeastern end of Prismaia Island, and literally touching the city centre, is the gigantic Tamosa Havenai Airport, the gargantuan gateway complex serving the city and, in addition to that, it has connections to regional and long-distance road, rail and water networks connecting it to the rest of Portugal. The Piccadayre (or Picadeiro in Portuguese, or in Maritese, Piccadeyra — ŋᴜɗɗʚƪɞ̃ȷɔʚ), also known as Bairro Novo (“New District”), one of Tamosa's most well‑known icons.
