Tamosa's gateway

Located southwest of downtown Figuayre Daphoy and downtown Maravela on the southeastern end of Prismaia Island, and literally touching the city centre, is the gigantic Tamosa Havenai Airport, the gargantuan gateway complex serving the city and, in addition to that, it has connections to regional and long-distance road, rail and water networks connecting it to the rest of Portugal. The country's largest and busiest airport, it immediately adjoins the equally gargantuan Havenai Seaport, the country's largest and busiest seaport. It is an important component of Tamosa's aerospace scene, together with Marismara (or Pincho) Aerodrome in north Tamosa, Onabara Aerodrome on Onabara Island (on the Daimara island group of the Mayar Islands), and Noimara/Havenai Spaceport on the Noimara island group (also on the Mayares)—in the same manner of Havenai Seaport, Figuayre Daphoy Harbour, Onabara Shipyards, and Prismaia/Havenai Cruise Port for the city's maritime scene, not to mention the city's full scope of military bases on the Naiuara island group of the Mayar Islands; in fact, the airport and the seaport are immediately adjacent to each other, and thus work as a single, fully coordinated piece of infrastructure; in addition, the other transport hubs that bear the Havenai name, however adjacent or distant they are, are directly linked to Havenai's air and sea ecosystem.

The airport area features six runways, a huge passenger terminal complex comprising six terminals (three midfield and one in-town, another in-seaport and the other in-spaceport, this last one a satellite terminal within Noimara Spaceport) with direct road, rail and water access, and an intricate network of cargo, logistics and maintenance facilities. It, together with Havenai Seaport, also plays host to a massive combined aerotropolis–spacetropolis–seatropolis around them, Cidade Havenai, which, directly linked to the airport and the seaport, includes a large multi-purpose residential, hospitality, tourism, business, entertainment, sports, lifestyle, retail, industrial and logistics hub and a major convention and exhibition complex.

Often nicknamed the Gateway due to its role as Tamosa's main gateway to the outside world, Havenai ended up achieving cultural status, in particular over aviation enthusiasts.

The Nine

(Note: None of these mountains are in Tamosa.) I have walked the lines on maps that other people call impossible. I have stood at the lip of ridges where the air tastes of snow and of salt at the same time, and I have listened to rivers begin their long argument with the sea. A crossroads called Tamosa

Tamosa, a major city located in central Portugal, more specifically on the country's Silver Coast ( Costa de Prata ), between Lisbon and Porto and forming the western edge of a diamond region with Aveiro to its north, Coimbra to its east and Leiria to its south, is situated at the confluence of the River Mondego (or Myndus ) into the Atlantic Ocean and the Prismaia Strait ( Estreito da Prismaia ). The city's main area spans from the Portuguese mainland to Prismaia Island on that island's westernmost point, Baleia Point ( Ponta da Baleia ). It is also home to the remote offshoot islands west of Baleia Point known as the Mayar Islands (also known simply as the Mayares).
