A confluence of worlds

Renowned as the main financial and economic epicentre of Tamosa, Xaena, meaning "confluence" in an ancient form of Maritese, is an immense forest of skyscrapers, punctuated by the towering pinnacles of the district's iconic centrepieces, as well as the district's huge underground and skyway gallery networks — as well as skyscrapers above the streets, avenues and boulevards themselves. With a long history of rapid development, Xaena offers more than just architectural grandeur—it is a beacon of progress in a city steeped in tradition.

The district, adjoining the futuristic expo district of Xandai—with which it shares a gondola lift (teleférico or telecabine) along the ocean waterfront, with Xaena and Xandai alike also being major beach, gambling and marina destinations—to its southwest and the Havenai Seaport Canals to its east, connected to the east by gallery cities underneath the canals, and as such being located where Prismaia Island's roads, railways and shipping lanes from everywhere else converge, boasts an array of architectural marvels, but none is more striking than the Randiff Building (Edifício Randiff), a 320-metre colossus that rises above the city with 102 floors (101 if not counting the ground floor) of gleaming concrete, glass and steel. Once the tallest building in the world, the Randiff is a symbol of modern aspirations. Though it has since been surpassed in height by other global giants, its engineering brilliance and design elegance continue to draw admiration. Xaena is also home to its namesake lighthouse, which, with a height of 230 metres, is the world's tallest, as well as the 380-metre, 109-floor (108 if not counting the ground floor) Havayandar Towers (Torres Havayandar), the world's tallest twin towers and once the world's tallest buildings, and the Xaena Radio Tower (Torre Radiofónica de Xaena), a 500-metre-tall observation and communications tower with 116 floors (115 if not counting the ground floor) which is the tallest structure in Tamosa — and was once the world's tallest structure. Xaena also hosts what are among Tamosa's busiest thoroughfares: Avenida 7, known for being a major theatre, cinema, café, nightlife, and shopping boulevard; and Xaena Square (Praça Xaena), known for being brightly lit by its numerous billboards and advertisements and by businesses offering 24/7 service.

Xaena, though, is not just about height; it’s about influence. As the main financial district of Tamosa, it hosts the headquarters of some of the world's leading financial institutions, tech startups, and global enterprises. Its modern infrastructure supports seamless connectivity, fostering innovation and collaboration in a competitive global economy.
